LOOKING FOR SOFTWARE TO CONTROL MY AOR AR3000A

2006-07-10 Thread André van Deventer
Hi all

I sincerely hope this is not off topic for this list, but I don't really
know where to ask about this.

I am looking for software to control and work with my AR3000a which is
compattible and which runs on my Windows XP system. According to the AOR
website, the Searchlight software used with the ar3000A is not compattible
with XP. Also, the software should of course work reasonably well with
Jaws.

Can anyone help?

Andre

Thanks a million. At least I also got the manual from the aor USA website
for the AR3000a.

I see that the manual is copyrighted for 1992 I think! And yet the receiver
is still manufactured. Rather remarkable for something like this to be on
the market for so long!

Is it a portable scanner or a tablescanner?
I saw a ar8000 a couple a yers ago but i really dont like the milions of

2006-07-14 Thread André van Deventer
Hi anders

It’s a a table scanner. And it has a lot of buttons but that doesn't worry
me unduly. At least it still has a proper tuning wheel which you don't find
on any of these little portable thingies!

Interesting that this receiver is still on the market since the 1990s.
