Listening while recording

2005-11-21 Thread Reed Poynter
I have fixed my line-in problem. Thanks Guys. I didn't have line-in
selected.
I am now recording from my old tape recorder.
Can I listen to it as it is recording? If not, how can I tell when it has
finished?

Thanks.

Reed

Hi. The trick to monitoring a recording is to go into playback properties
for your volume control, find the line in control, and unmute it by
clicking the box with the space bar. Then you'll hear whatever is going
into your line in, and you can set the playback volume independent of the
recording volume.

unmute the play back of the line in and you can then hear what you are
recording.
also you might want to go into the control propetries by f 11 and control
tab to recording and make the recording unbounded to make it easier to work
