Kevin, Thank you, I didn't remember that problem the first time, but I seemed to be having one of those days on Thursday, lol. When I get my copy of JAWS 6.0 I'll try again ... there are definitely things where it reads better and it's probably a combination of things going on when that kind of problem comes up. There's still a lot about Nero that I don't know, but at least all my discs have burned successfully so far, which is something. Robert, I used the ISO option and all went well. For some reason I got lost in the multisession dialogue and then I wasn't sure which option I needed, but it turns out that I was able to put an amazing number of files onto a CD using ISO. my son later told me that he did the same thing last year to back up the music files on his hard drive. in great need of Nero help
Hi everyone, I'm using Nero 5.5 and have done this before but it has been a while and I can't figure this out. I would like to compile an MP3 CD in Nero and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I've entered the new compilation dialog and start multisession is checked but it says iso and I can't figure out how to select the data option or to proceed from here. At one point I saw the list of eleven choices but could not actually select what I wantedbecause I couldn't read or click on all of them. Does this make sense to anyone? This is frustrating because I've successfully burned a CD before but today can't figure out anything at all. Hope someone can help. Re: in great need of Nero help
Hi, Susan, first, which type of cd do you want to burn? Nero defaults to isa, or, data cd's by default, but there are 12 choices, with the nero that I have. There should be a tree-view with the browser and compilation windows once you've pressed the new button, after choosing the type of cd you wish to make, and whether or not your disk will be multi-session or not from the three radio buttons presented when you first open up nero burning rom. Re: in great need of Nero help
Josh,Well, I didn't think it was scrolling to the bottom of the window for some reason. After the audio option I see mixed mode but after this JAWS was telling me I was at the bottom of the window as it continued scrolling down, if that makes sense, so I couldn't tell if I had all the choices. anyway, my son advised me to use the iso format. I highlighted that choice and was taken to the wizard which got me through that initial compilation dialog. I tried using the Alt-1 keystroke which I know works in the wizard when selecting track for an audio CDbut it looks like I will have to copy and paste. As I said, it's been a while but I can't remember if this is how it was the last time. Then I guess I get all those things like disk at once and burn speed once the compilation is done, right? Obviously I'm pretty rusty on this. I have a lot of music and other files to burn but my brain doesn't seem to be working today, smile. Many thanks. Re: in great need of Nero help
Marty, I didn't realized it defaulted to ISO and thought I had made a mistake. For some reason JAWS didn't seem to be reading through all the options as I was scrolling down the list looking for audio, so I assumed it was either a two-column list or something that had gotten truncated somehow. anyway, my son told me to highlight ISO and from there the dialog seems normal. I don't quite know what I was doing wrong but hopefully it will work now. I think ISO is the right format because I have .mp3's as well as document files I want to back up before my daughter gets this computer, so I'm trying to make the most of the CD's I have. Re: in great need of Nero help
You're working too hard at this. When Nero comes up, make sure you have the 7 page set of tabs with Burn as the 7th and media info as the first. Then, make sure nothing is checked or selected except CD (if you can choose between cd and DVD). The third tab, ISO, I think, uncheck the Joliet item, and uncheck the Add 1 item, everything else checked. Make sure in the 7th that sample or trial or whatever it's really called isn't checked and make sure that virus-check isn't checked. It's not necessary to do the last, but it does save time, (you're virus checking these suckers as they come in, right? grin). If you have other questions, ask me. I've been doing a lot of this lately in backing up. Btw, that list where there's iso this and that, you don't need to bother with at all. - Original Message - From: Susan Wojtecki [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list.
