I’m not going to say more at the risk of repeating myself as I’ve already written on the topic of wMP, if anyone can tell me what’s not accessible in the player then please do, I’ve been using the player as other list members would know since early last week I think I started exploring it. > On 10 Nov 2014, at 4:38 am, Tom Kaufman wrote: > > Yes...but I, too, have heard along the lines of the same thing (that > Winamp will be back) and I _still_ maintain that WMP 12 just isn't that > accessible! Re: SV: OzTech How to Stream Digital Media From Your Windows 7 PC | PCWorld
Yes indeed but the point is we're already seeing support issues with various audio devices and so forth, given that Winamp is not being developed any longer then its not likely those issues are going to be resolved, that's a risk you take when you use any software or product that is no longer being developed or supported. As I've said many times, I just can't quite work out why anyone would go out of their way to use something that's no longer being supported when there are dozens of support alternatives out there which are just ast functional, just as accessible, freely available with more functionality than the Pro version of Winamp ever had, keyboard shortcuts abound etc. On 9/11/2014 8:30 PM, Brian Olesen wrote: Hi, You can just install a codec pack then it plays flac fine. OzTech How to Stream Digital Media From Your Windows 7 PC | PCWorld
Hi! I'm setting up another Windows machine for someone who wants to stream media files from the machine to DLAN compatible devices, in particular a Surround-Sound Receiver. I'm no expert when ot comes to the DLNA side of things and I know this topic does come up on the list from time to time, another Google search was in order to see if I could discover any new information on the topic, and low and behold, I found what seems to be quite a nice tutorial on the subject, thought others on the list may find it interesting, helpful and instructive. http://www.pcworld.com/article/245888/how_to_stream_digital_media_from_your_windows_7_pc.html To send a message to the list, send a message to: ozt...@damorris.com To leave the list at any time send a message to oztech-unsubscr...@damorris.com To contact the list owner, send an email to: a...@damorris.com ___ OzTech mailing list ozt...@damorris.com http://damorris.com/mailman/listinfo/oztech_damorris.com
