You don't really install it. You unzip it into the folder where you want it and just run the quickmx program. There's a couple of text files and a .dll file and the program file itself. I suggest starting Winmx first and then running quickmx. Quickmx will start Winmx, but I've heard of problems if you do it that way. I've never tried it myself, but my understanding is that if you start quickmx first it'll slow your system down. Once you're in quickmx, go to your context menu and check that auto-find setting. I think it defaults to ten. If so, just leave it there. Yes, I think it is. I know it definitely improves my downloads. First, it's continuously searching for files. Second, it can do up to ten searches at a time, and between the two things, you can get a lot more downloads. One thing, though, when you first start, be sure to go to the Transfers window and click the "Load Incomplete" button. This makes sure that Winmx knows that you still want to finish all those downloads that didn't finish before. You don't, it's an exicutable file that you have to open each time you want to use it. You have to extract the files the first time you open it. Hi Not as far as I know, but I will go and check again. In the meantime - I still have some problems in working with QuickMX. When I go to the set auto find resource limit sub menu, I get values from one to ten and not an unlimited value. Also, when I set it on one for example, it does not change the value in the download list. QUICK MX
Hi all I have some problems using quick mx with WinMX. When I load QuickMX, it seems to mess up the downloads list view. It keeps on repeating the first song and says it is not selected.
