RE: Playback vs Stereo MIx? and recording

2014-01-25 Thread Hamit Campos
Hmm, that makes no sence. What kind of jack was this
pare of mikes connected to? If the headphone like jack then I would have
assumed it is stereo. Which yeah, it is the headphone like jack. You said
it's a line in / mike jack. Like on my Enspireon lap top. I would go into
the recording tab, and make sure no inhancements are turned for the mike.
Also check the levals because this may have some funny stuff turned on too.
This happened to my very cool Enspireon when it came out of it's box. But
no matter, no matter, I just unchecked 5the boxes, and all was well. This
laptop is my defalt recorder of choice now since it can do epic and awesome
Blu-Ray 96 KHZ at 24 bit recording. This is until I can get the LS-100
though.

Speaking of capturing and stereo and such: In a (more or less) modern
computer, how does one get the mic and line combination input jack to be
stereo? I've tried to record live plays with a pair of mics; but I couldn't
get it to be stereo. What didn't I do? I had to revert to an old fashioned
cassette deck with all its tape hiss etc.

H, interesting. Stereo Mix, Wav Out Mix, What You Hear and what
ever other names it may hav had is that thing you use to capture the audio.
Thank the annoying and piracy cowardly RIAA for it being gone with Vista.
Curse you RIAA, and whilst I'm at it curse you too MPAA. Gu!

  HI guys
What's the difference between Playback and StereoMix? My Laptop doesn't have
StereoMix but does Playback, thus when I turn on Playback and activate Mike
Listen, I get both my voice and Pc sounds recorded like I used to with
StereoMix on Windows XP, thus I wonder then are they the same but with a
different name? I'm using the default High Definition RealTeck sound card
that comes with windows7.

As for play back, that's where you pick where you want the audio to come
from.

OK then so Playback is another name for What you hear then? because
when in Recording I default to Playback, systems sounds get recorded. I
guess another thing one learns?
