Eloquence is not available for your iPhone and it's very unlikely that

Actually, they do. I installed a demo of Kurzweil 1000 which includes SAPI4
Eloquence. NVDA can see it and use it absolutely fine under Windows 7, both
32 and 64 bit.

Speaking of eloquence - I find it strange that none of the new portable
media devices like the plextalk pocket or Xtreme actually utilized
eloquence? It's a popular synth with actually probably a smaller footprint
than the realspeak voices for example?

Re: Eloquence and sound recording was Microphones for the computermicrophones for computer

2005-01-29 Thread R Q J
Hi Bradford,
No, Eloquence does not block the mike.
If sound recorder is recording Jaws, then you probably have,
" what you hear", checked in the volume control.
That is, if you have a SoundBlaster soundcard.
If you have another brand of soundcard, the same control may have a
different name,
such as, "stereo mixer".
You should probably check out the volume control settings first.

Hello,
Does Eloquence block the mic input on a soundcard. When I test my
mic, I can't hear anything, but when I run Sound Recorder, it's
picking up Jaws. Am I "mis-wired"? or what?

RE: Eloquence and sound recording was Microphones for the computermicrophones for computer

Hi,
You will have to select the correct
input on the mixer control in windows
press start button, click accessories, click entertainment, click volume
control
no go to the options menu, pull it down with the alt key, arrow down to
properties, press enter, press tab once, you are now on the radio button
to select playback or recoring, arrow down to recording, now press tab
again, your now in the list of available controls in the recording
mixer. Make sure micorphone is selected, and deselect all the otehrs,
this is done by pressing space bar
I deselect all the others so it makes it easier to press the select
button once your back on the main mixer window.

hth

Cheers, James

Hello,
Does Eloquence block the mic input on a soundcard. When I test my mic,
I can't hear anything, but when I run Sound Recorder, it's picking up
Jaws. Am I "mis-wired"? or what? Thanks, Brad On Sat, 29 Jan 2005
