Hi.
To the best of my knowledge and belief, to load a .ra/.rm file into
Goldwave for modification is impossible. I'd love to be proved wrong on
this, so if anyone has managed it, either with Goldwave or any other sound
editor, and has made that sound editor save in a format other than Real
Networks' format, I'd love to hear about it. It is possible to convert real
files to MP3 or wav format, though not with sound editors. I should say that
the process is somewhat cumbersome.
It can be done with three programs. The first, RM converter,
converts Real files to AVI files. For this program, go to
http://www.boilsoft.com
Then use AVIwav
        http://www.divx-digest.com/software/avi2wav.html
Which will convert the AVI to wav. Finally, use your favourite wav to MP3
converter, I recommend CDEX
http://cdex.n3.net
To convert the wav to mp3.
I've also heard a recommendation to use total recorder
        http://www.totalrecorder.com
to record the sound from the sound card. This is good, however, only if you
have another sound card, or a system which you can dedicate to this, as it
will tie up the sound card.
        Aman

Subject: help converting .Ra to .mp3 in goldwave

Hi,

I am trying to learn what attributes, if any, will allow me to load a .Ra
file in to goldwave so I can save it out as .mp3. Can any one help?

Thanks in advance.
