Re: Another Wireless Headset
Hi! Yes i also own this headset. What i am wondering about the logitech h800 is if it can switch easily between two devices? /A 27 feb 2014 kl. 23:18 skrev Olusegun -- Victory Associates LTD, Inc. ukekearu...@valtdnet.com: Hello Dane: I have the headset under discussion. Battery lasts six hours. You can use it whilst it is being charged. Although I have not put it through all its paces, I really like this headset. It comes with a microphone which can be swung away to an upright position when not in use. Our children have paired it with every bluetooth thingy they have and it has worked flawlessly. You can truly plug it in and forget it. Sincerely, Olusegun Denver, Colorado --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com

I always thought that with Bluetooth, you might get good quality music, but if you talked on Skype, the output from the mic would be sounding like the old phone. At least with the Plantronics you got, it uses a separate dongle for the wireless, so it sounds good in both directions. - Original Message - From: Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Thursday, February 27, 2014 2:30 PM Subject: Another Wireless Headset I've ordered another Wireless Headset, I'm most impressed with the Plantronics Audio 995 Wireless Headset as discussed here on list. I also keep hearing very good reports regarding the Logitech H800 headset so decided to get my hands on one and put it through its paces, the 2 year warrantee was also an attractive porposition. I can only hope that this headset is better constructed than the Logitech monstrosity I owned some years ago, very poorly constructed, poor quality cable, poor quality ear pads and so on, the set literally fell to bits and towards the end it was held together with packing tape. Anyway as most of you will probably know, the H800 can either work with your PC or work using Bluetooth from a smart device say an iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S4 or whatever so the interesting point will be just how good the Bluetooth standard used actually is? I doubt it will Bluetooth 4 but you never know. ** Dane Trethowan Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane

Yep, I reckon you're right, the H800 offers direct PC Wireless capabilities like the Plantronics Audio 995 as well, you can switch between Bluetooth and PC. Dane i'll be interested in your comparison between the microphone audo of the 995 and the h-800. I saw a youtube demo fot ehh-800 audio and thought it was a bit restricted and tinny compared to the 995, so i'll be interested in your results. - Original Message - From: Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Thursday, February 27, 2014 3:30 PM Subject: Another Wireless Headset I've ordered another Wireless Headset, I'm most impressed with the Plantronics Audio 995 Wireless Headset as discussed here on list. Re: Another Wireless Headset
Put it this way, the microphone of the Audio 995 is damn good so the question is, can the microphone of the H800 meet that standard? I'm on several lists and other people have commented about the poor performance of the Plantronics microphones on headsets, they must be referring to models other than the Audio 995, even the microphone of the Audio 478 which is a USB headset is pretty good or perhaps my hearing is far worse then I ever thought possible smile. Re: Another Wireless Headset
The sound is very similar, I'd say the 478 has a bit more top but both sound perfectly acceptable.
