Re: Is High Criteria Gone?

2007-08-27 Thread Steve Pattison
The latest version of Total Recorder is version 6.1. This version
was released on the sixth of December last year. In the past High
Criteria have released a version of Total Recorder about once a
quarter so the delay between releases does seem a bit unusual. I'm
wondering if the delay is caused by High Criteria making Total
Recorder fully compatible with Vista? I'm not certain if this is the
cause of the delay and this is definitely just speculation.

Regards Steve.

I just attempted to check for updates on Total Recorder 6 Professional
Edition and got a "cannot find server" from my browser. Not believing
my ears, I Googled Total Recorder and it found a link to the High
Criteria web site, same address, and again, cannot find server. Are
Total Recorder and High Criteria things of the past, or have they been
bought up by someone and renamed?

Dean, I just clicked on the URL embedded in this message and got
cannot find server again. I'm wondering if you're using an offline
copy of the page or something else.

I just tried pinging totalrecorder.com with and without the three w's.

That's the key--it may have been there the other day, but I sure can't
get to it now, and neither can several others I've asked to try it.

HI Steve,

The total recorder link works. I even did a live refresh and cleared
anything to insure that it was not an offline page. I think mate it's time
to check your own settings or router etc. Maybe even your ISP?

Sound recording tools: Total Recorder - captures any audio from the
Internet, records audio from CD, microphone, line-in, converts any sound
formats to WAVE file. Phone recording system.

Well, I'd agree with you on general principle if it were only me
having the problem, but it's two of us in two different houses, both
on Speakeasy. I'm going to try and find at least one more Speakeasy
user I know and have him try it. Speakeasy customer service is quite
perplexed.
