RE: New Sony Sound Forge 9: Special Upgrade Offer

2007-04-10 Thread Bruce Toews
Gold Wave can handle some file conversions that Sound Forge cannot. This
is the one technical aspect where Gold Wave is better. There are a few
technical aspects where Sound forge is better. There are many who prefer
Sound Forge's interface to Gold Waves, while others, like me, prefer Gold
Wave's interface over sound Forge's. The bottom line is this, though.
While Sound Forge is approximately seven times the price of Gold Wave,
plus the cost of upgrading Sound Forge periodically, it is not in any way
seven times better as a sound editor, not even close. One can do a very
professional job with Gold Wave. With the exception of some of the special
effects that Sound Forge offers, editing can be done just as finely and
just as professionally with either program.

2007-04-10 Thread Martina Letochová
Hi Anders!
I know what you mean with those signs on the keyboard; I don't have brackets
as default keys on my Czech layout at all so one way I generate them is
pressing right alt + f for the left bracket and right alt + g for the right
one; another option would be pressing left alt plus their respective ASCII
codes on your numeric keyboard so it's 91 for the left one and 93 for the
right one. So just try it out and see if at least one of the options works
for you. Sorry, no easier way; LOL!

Hi Anders,
Yes, alt+shift is windows shortcut to cycle throu the installed keybords.
If you have only Swedish and US, you can switch to US, and with the same
alt+shif you can back to Swedish keyboard. It's so easy.
Good luck!
