Re: sound cards and jaws
Hi Roger, Iwas just at, www.freedomscientific.com last night, and I was looking through the technical service notes, and this problem was addressed. Once you get to the website, you need to go to support, find the combo box where you can choose the product your interested in. once you get to that page, there is another combo box to choose the topic of interest. I believe it is under sound, or speech. HTH, Richard Justice - Original Message - From: Roger R. I am using a sound blaster extigy, which is an external USB sound device. I get lots of crackling, and I mean lots... When JFW and Eloquence do their thing, major crackle when being run under windows XP. Yes, XP and jaws and sound blaster extigy... I need to know what people are using with their xp systems for sound cards which do not crackle, and produce still good audio quality. I am not going to be doing my multi track recording from what ever you folks recommend, just standard sound and audio mp3 file playing and such. If you recommend a sound blaster card, please be sure to note which one exactly. for example there are no less than 3 flavors of the sound blaster audigy... I have no problem with sound blaster, and I love my extigy but, it is the dreadful crackle that I must get rid of... please help... Roger R. Re: sound cards and jaws
My computer used to stutter sometimes. But when too many resources are on, even though I did not turn it on, somehow, after I have done email and such things for a while, my Window-Eyes will stutter and burr on me. It did that a lot more before the repair last April. It does it less nowadays, but still does it. I used to think I would have to load another driver to stabilize that but well, here I am. I'll deal with it. Just reboot and clear the board! Mimi - Original Message - From: Jarrod Jicha [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. I have an audigy II, and have no crackle, no popping, no studdering, I also have a c-media onboard sound card, that I use jaws on, if you try to go too fast for jaws, every once in a while, it will studder, when you hit the ctrk key, but nothing bad at all, but it don't crackle either.
