Real Player 10 output device

2007-04-24 Thread Bobcat
Is there a way to choose my second sound card for output from RP 10? My
default sound card in Windows is used for Jaws speech and sounds. I want to
rout Real Player's output to my good card but can't find the option
anywhere.

real player 10 and total recorder conflict

2004-11-11 Thread Marco Curralejo
hi again.

i previously posted an email re the problem i'm having scheduling a stream
to record with total recorder professional which needs to play through real
player 10. i was hoping that someone may have either experienced this issue
or may have a sollution as to how to resolve this conflict, as i can't get
anything to stream with real player when i try to schedule the stream with
total recorder, but i am able to both schedule and thus record successfully
with all other players.

any help would be very muchly appreciated.

thanks.

Re: Winamp 5.05 VS Real Player 10+

2004-09-27 Thread Brian Lewis
In your case, you should go into Winamp's preferences and do not hit the
select All button. You should check what you want Winamp to play and
uncheck what you want Real to play. I guess they're both the same in that
they both want to play everything, but Winamp has that Select All button,
and you don't want that.

Subject: Winamp 5.05 VS Real Player 10+

Hello List!

Recently I downloaded and installed the new Winamp 5.05 Player, following a
review of the program by Dave Williams on ACB Radio. I should say that, at
the same time, I have the latest Real Player 10player on my system as well.

Now, I usually have Real Player play my CD's, MP3 files, Wave Files, and
radio stations. Winamp, I discovered, enjoys playing these programs as
well.

As soon as I installed Winamp, it took over my audio system and plays
everything for me, even though I have Real Player set to play most of these
types of music.

I also have Windows Media Player 9 Series on my system, but it does not work
like Winamp.

I like Real Player to play things such as Main Menu and other such programs
because I can go back and forth easier. I like different programs for
different things to be played (Windows Media Player for ACB Radio; Real
Player for MP3, Wav, and songs stored on my hard drive).

My question to you guys is How do I keep Winamp from taking over all of my
system and playing everything? Even when I open up Real Player and set
preferences to play certain files, Winamp ignores this and plays things
anyway.

I like Winamp because of its radio broadcasting features and sometimes
relative ease of use, but I want it to play what and when I want it to
play. Is there a way to make these players behave and play what we tell
them to play? I'd like to know how this is done.

Thanks again for your help.

Sincerely,

James Robinson

Real Player 10 trouble going to file menu

2004-08-11 Thread stever2525
When I choose Real Player 10 from the desktop, I then want to go directly to
the file menu. Instead, I am forced to go to their main page which freezes
JAWS and then an 30 second add comes on and it's difficult to break in and
get to the file menu. What setting can I change so that I don't have to go
where I don't want? thank you

Hi Sharon. Real player no longer free? Maybe an
advertisement confused you. Just go to ACB radio at

And click on downloads. No problem.

Re: real player 10 questions

2004-06-16 Thread Marco Curralejo
hi hank.

when listening to a file in real player, whether your playing the file at
the time or you have stopped it, hold down the control key and press i at
the same time. a window will appear giving you all of the information on
that file, including its bitrate.

not sure about burning cd's with real player, as i haven't done this.

cheers.

marco.

Seek Feature in Real Player 10

2004-04-03 Thread Bruce Toews
Am I the only person for whom this feature doesn't work? Go to
www.treasureislandoldies.com. Click on the listen to our last recorded
show link. Then try to seek to, say, two hours into the program. Sighted
people seem to have no trouble doing this, but I get some kind of an out
of range error. Does anyone have any ideas?
