RE: Recording Skype with Total Recorder

2015-04-29 Thread Humberto Rodriguez
Hello,

If your sound card has "Stereo Mix"or "What you hear" it is very easy, just
record what goes through your sound card.

If not, I believe you need the Pro version of Total Recorder, then go to
Options and Recording source and parameters; there to Advanced and select
Mixing source and soundboard.

Alternatively, you need software such as Virtual Cable so as to be able to
record incoming and outgoing Skype sound.

HIH,

Humberto

Hi there,

I have Total Recorder and need to see about recording a skype lesson I have
later on. How do I go about doing this, and what are specific settings I
need?

Thanks.

Jim

You might like to go to the Total Recorder web site and look up the
Primer they have on that specific topic.

It was mentioned some time ago on this list that one could record Skype
calls with total recorder. Do you need 2 sound cards to do this? If not
how
is it exactly done? I tried it and couldn't get it to record. Thanks.
