Re: problems recording with goldwave
Hi Alison, If you want to record something with no specific time length you have to set it to unbounded in the f11 record tab. If it is bounded, Goldwave defaults to recording 1 second. I had the same problem when I started using the program. Good luck. - Original Message - From: "doc" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. Re: problems recording with goldwave
Alison everyone has been very close where you need to go after pressing f11 is to control tab to volume tab here is where you choose your record source. You can set your volume level as wel as what you wil use to record. the record tab is to decide whether you want the recording voice activated and whether you want the recording bounded to the time you've selected or unbounded. There is also a choice that will allow you to set a time in the future to automatically record a sound sourceat a given time. Did you check that goldwave was configured to take its input from the mic, rather than the line-in or some other source? In GW, go to Options, control Properties, and the Devices page. The second of the two drop-downs listing your audio devices is the record device selector. Good luck. Blessed Be, Dana that's Dayna, D A N A, NOT Donna, D O N N A D. S. Leslie, née C. R. Re: Listening while recording with GoldWave
Hi. The trick to monitoring a recording is to go into playback properties for your volume control, find the line in control, and unmute it by clicking the box with the space bar. Then you'll hear whatever is going into your line in, and you can set the playback volume independent of the recording volume.
