Some Goldwave questions.

2007-09-17 Thread Vinny Samarco
Hi,
I'm just learning Goldwave, and trying some experiements that I couldn't
find on the for the people tutorials, so far.
OI am trying to record a radio station online, disabling the mic. and
using my sound card. I have noticed that once you begin recording, the
controls for paus, stop and start do not function as they do when speaking
into the microphone. There doesn't seem to be any way to pause a
recording, for instance through a commercial. Everything seems to record
until I exit the program and I am asked if I want to save the changes to a
particular file?
So, am I doing something wrong?
Thanks.

I have some queries about Goldwave which I Hope someone can answer.
 1. Are there scripts for Jaws or are these unnecessary?
 2. I've heard that it can deal with mp4s and Audible files - is this true
or untrue? (the demo version doesn't)
 3. I like the look of its sister program Multi quence - is this
 accessible?
 Thanks for any responses.

There are scripts, but GoldWave can also be used without them. You can
 find
 the scripts here: http://jbauer.port5.com

I'm not sure as I've never had such files, but I doubt that.

No, it isn't. I've tested it.

Re: Some Goldwave Questions

2006-10-01 Thread G. McFarlane
Hi Samuel
Thanks for your response. I perhaps should have been clearer as to my goal -
my intention was to take a video file and clean up the audio with this
program as it seems to do this. I already use Audition but you can only
separate the soundtrack from the video, not clean it and resave the whole
file. I think mtrack will do something similar.

I haven't tried mtrack for audio and should really get round to it.
Thanks.

I can answer your first question. Yes, there are jaws scripts for goldwave,
which can be obtained at http://jfwlite.com. And I think it can do mp4, but
I don't remember for sure. It's been a long time since I've used goldwave.
