Some More Digital Recorder Research and a Documentation Question
Hi, Folks! Did some more research on digital recorders and found the Sony PCM-M10. It's a ProAudio series recorder, professional grade. Has anyone had a chance to use this particular recorder? How accessible is it for a blind person to use? On an unrelated note, I have a Sony MZ-B100 minidisc recorder. Does anyone happen to have accessible docs for this machine? Thanks in advance for your help.--Matthew Chao To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org

I don't know about that one but I do know about the PCMD50, its been reviewed on Blind Cool Tech as well so research that one, unfortunately the PCMD50 is not available in Australia otherwise I would have purchased one without fail. Re: Some More Digital Recorder Research and a Documentation Question
The problem with the Sony recorders, or, should I more correctly say, the D50, is it uses that old Sony Memory Stick technology, which is fine if you have an external USB memorystick reader. Re: Some More Digital Recorder Research and a Documentation Question
Yes but it also has 4GB of internal memory so that's not so much of a problem. Matt I don't know how accessible it is from a blindness perspedtive but I think there is a review of it including audio samples in the tools section of http://www.transom.org On Mon, 06 Dec 2010 16:44:14 -0500, Matthew Chao wrote: Hi, Folks! The pcm 50 is a nice machine but it's a lot more money than any of the olympuses. Re: Some More Digital Recorder Research and a Documentation Question
Yes it is but really anyone who compares any of the Olympus recorders to the Sony PCMD50 is comparing Apples to oranges, similarly comparing Zooms to Olympus, Zooms and Sony PCMD50 machines are professional high end recorders whereas the Olympus are not.
