Squeezebox Boom or other

2011-03-30 Thread Howard Traxler
Wouldn't it be great if someone would put together a podcast on this
squeezebox? If I knew more, I might be tempted to get one.

Dane:

There are two ways to access content from the Boom:

1. You can connect to Squeezebox.com and access content which is
generated from their site.

2. You can download and install the Squeezebox server to your computer
(either Mac or Pc), in which case, you have the same functionality as you
would using Squeezebox.com plus the fact that you can access the content
on your own harddrive. In short, you can use either their online server
or your own server.

Hope this helps.

Okay, so what exactly does the squeezebox.com server do?

Okay well I'm sorry I'll rephrase all that, once the Squeezebox Boom is
logged onto the network can you change the boxes network settings?

Hi!

Okay, I've traced a Squeezebox Boom and consequently ordered it so to
the first question.

Suppose I get help with setting the unit up through the Quick Start
Wizard, am I able to change network connection options for the
Squeezebox after the wizard has been completed?

I'm thinking of opening the wireless network so that I can make the
setup for my sighted help easier, that way a password won't have to
be entered so therefore I'll change it back to how it was when the
setup is completed if I can access the network options of the
Squeezebox Boom from its HTML interface, anyone any comment?

Thanks In Advance.
