Another TeamTalk Question.

2016-12-01 Thread Jim Noseworthy
Hi Folks:

When creating a channel in TeamTalk, one can create both a channel password
as well as a channel operator password. When i try an log on to the channel
with the operator password, it doesn't work but the standard password does.
Any thoughts?

Thanks all over the place.

Question About Recording in TeamTalk

2016-11-30 Thread Jesse Tregarthen
Hello all,

I'm looking to record a podcast using TeamTalk to interact with my fellow
podcasters. I'd like to have each person on a different file so I can edit them
as separate tracks. TeamTalk has a feature that records each person to a
different file but I'm wondering why it doesn't record my file. A couple times
it did but lately, I record a test discussion and at the end, there's a file
for everybody but me. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. Thanks,
Jesse Tregarthen

Are any JAWS Scripts for TeamTalk Available?

2010-06-08 Thread Steve Pattison
Hi all,

I use Window-eyes but I was wondering if there are any JAWS scripts
for the TeamTalk voice chat program available from www.bearware.dk. If
any JAWS scripts exist I'd appreciate this information for some people
who use JAWS. Thanks in advance.

Fwd: Teamtalk Script 1.01 for Window-Eyes

2009-12-26 Thread Steve Pattison
From: J.J. Meddaugh

I've Posted a minor update to the TeamTalk scripts.
Version 1.01 now enhances the preferences screen
and reads the unlabeled items, especially all of the
hotkeys in the Shortcuts tab. Get it from Script
Central or the update from Add/remove Packages
if you already had version 1.0.

It works with TeamTalk 4 Classic, a popular voice chat client.

Fwd: New Window-Eyes Scripts for TeamTalk

2009-12-12 Thread Steve Pattison
From: J.J. Meddaugh j...@bestmidi.com

I'm pleased to announce the release of scripts for the popular TeamTalk voice
chat client.
Written in colaberation with Stephen Clower, this script provides enhanced
functionality
for the TeamTalk application.
Version 4.0 of TeamTalk is highly recommended, and the classic interface must
be used for the scripts to function. We have not tested these with TeamTalk 3,
though parts may work.

Script features include:
Obtain the name of the current channel, current topic, or the contents of the
chat window using hotkeys. Additional key labels are added to make navigation
simpler.
The status of voice activation (on or off) is spoken when Control-Shift-V is
pressed, or press a hotkey to hear the current status without toggling it. When
pressing arrow
keys in the position users window, the new position will be read
automatically. If the Progressindicator script is loaded, the TeamTalk progress
bar is automatically disabled, as it is generally not relevant.

It's available on Script Central through the usual methods.
If you're looking for a public TeamTalk server, sign up for a free account at

Please write me with any comments or suggestions.

2008-02-29 Thread Dane Trethowan
Hi all!
Thanks to those of you who gave me most helpful information on
Teamtalk. I haven't been able to do much with Teamtalk yet, my
headphones decided to stop working so I've just ordered a new pair of
Logitech Clear-Chat Pro phones, they should be here some time early
next week so then, I look forward to catching up with you all and
following the advice which has been given on setting up the software.

Hello:

Actually, it is both a Voice and a Text chat App. It has facilities for
sending both public and private messages as well as executing important
commandline parameters through the typing window such as establishing
channel operators.

I'm not sure exactly what point you're trying to defend but your comment is
mis-leading.

Why are scripts needed, anyway. The program is perfectly accessible, and if
people can't be bothered to read the chat window them self, then that's just
laziness...

Thanks for everyon'es response on this, I'll check you all out shortly
and I look forward to hearing from you all. From the recordings I've

Teamtalk is the best quality voice chat client I've heard, only thing

One example why scripts may be required is that you may need to know whether
or not voice activation is turned on or off.

I can think of others.

The scripts don't appear to work well at all even when all options are

Perhaps they are for an older version.

Well a Mac version is coming yes but in the meantime? Well, the old
Trashbox will suffice unless I could be bothered porting the LINUX
version to the Mac.

Teamtalk is the best quality voice chat client I've heard, only thing
that comes close to it is Ichat and of course, Teamtalk is extremely
 configurable.

Hi:

The scripts were designed for an older version of Team Talk and JAWS 6.0.

Re: Teamtalk

2008-02-17 Thread Brian Olesen
hi,
well stuff like the meters arn't easy to read without a script.
The thing you say about the chat window is just because you're not a hard
core chatter. *gg*
How would you know, when you have been notified, if it's not read out lout?

Best regards
Brian

Why are scripts needed, anyway. The program is perfectly accessible, and if
people can't be bothered to read the chat window them self, then that's just
laziness...

 hi,
Oh these scripts are definately not worth installing. They do nothing, and
have not been updated for years.

Scripts have already been written for the program by Sean Randel.

 Dane:

I am working with TeamTalk and I have a server online.

I'm not sure if you want to test your own server or if you want to log on
 to
 another server.

If it's the latter, you can log on to my server at:
 compuconference.dyndns.org

The root of the server is not password protected. Incidentally, if you
 are
a JAWS user, I am writing scripts for the program. The only major
 addition
to my scripts now is to automaticly read the text messages.

 Cheers.
