Using Rockbox in Australia

2007-06-21 Thread Amanda
Hi,

Is anyone in Australia using Rockbox? I seem to be having difficulty
finding MP3 players in Australia that can run it. I'm concerned, probably
needlessly, about purchasing an MP3 player overseas, in case I can't get
chargers, etc, that will work in Australia.

Regards
Amanda

Ok, have a look at the Iriver H10, I know people use these with Rockbox.
I used an Iriver 340 at one time but got rid of this, prefering to
use my Nokia mobile phone with talks now.

Re: Using Rockbox in Australia

2007-06-21 Thread Dane Trethowan
Ok, well I cannot answer your question regarding Rockbox, what I was
getting at was that accessaries were now available for Ipods which
allowed the connection of audio and video devices so that the Ipod
could record directly from those, these accessaries allowed full
control of recording whether that be from the Ipod itself or a
computer, they've been reviewed in our local newspaper over the last
couple of weeks.

really! don't you guys have Ipod there?
30GB, and now 80GB models, both work with rockbox.
Yes, but I don't want an Ipod.

 Subject: Using Rockbox in Australia

 Hi,

Is anyone in Australia using Rockbox? I seem to be having difficulty
finding MP3 players in Australia that can run it. I'm concerned, probably
needlessly, about purchasing an MP3 player overseas, in case I can't get
chargers, etc, that will work in Australia.

 Regards
 Amanda

Re: Using Rockbox in Australia

2007-06-21 Thread Dane Trethowan
That's absolutely excellent, I'll pass that along.

yes, the latest build now supports the 80GB Ipod video.
I have the 30GB model, and only purchased it a month before rockbox
started
supporting the 80GB model.

Ok, well if that's the case then I'm a little wrong then because I
didn't think the latest Ipod Videos would work with Rockbox, theyr'e
the 80 gig machines you speak of are they not?
