SV: Which M-audio Delta card runs in 7
Hello! Be sure to not upgrade the drivers to the latest though. It will make the control panel inaccessible. Actually i don't know what they've done but its totaly in accessible with hal t least. Nvda does not work either. /Anders. -Ursprungligt meddelande- Från: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] För Ray Skickat: den 4 mars 2009 11:41 Till: PC Audio Discussion List Ämne: Re: Which M-audio Delta card runs in 7 I echo Robert's thoughts belowe. The Delta 24/96 which I use has a small breakout box, or lead, terminating in a number of phono plugs - or could be sockets - and the only way to access the SPDIF input/output facility of the card is via these leads. As for accessability of the patchbay and mixer and settings, that is good, and although I'm using Window-Eyes, JFW would obviously have no problems here. There might be scripts too, but you'd have to search in the usual places for them. I think support under Windows 7 Beta is asking a lot. I'm no techy but driver support tends to come very late on in the pre-release and even after a release of a new OS. If you really want to know then I'd suggest going to M-Audio's site. I'm still using XP Pro for what that's worth. Ray. Robert Nelson wrote: Other considerations aside, make sure to buy a Delta card that has a break out box. Re: Which M-audio Delta card runs in 7
Sure! I know I am asking a lot to have windows 7 work on older cards. Or any card for that matter. Also, I don't believe that delta cards have a 3.5 mm audio out jack right? Now I wonder if the 44 also has an accesssible control pannel? Re: Which M-audio Delta card runs in 7
Quite right, M Audio soundcards tend to have phono standard jack or maybe even XLR on some models. Still, wouldn't be surprised if they have started doing 3.5mm interfacing as this fits in with the vast majority of PC interfaces. I'd suggest looking around their site. Ray. Thanks Robert. do you know if the Delta 44 has such a box? I too don't want to be playing around the back of my box.
