Re: accessible tv tuning software with jaws

2007-02-09 Thread Ted Phillips
I have a question concerning tv tuning software. Do you have to have a TV
tuner card to use it, or can you just watch programs using only the software
and an internet connection? Thanks

 Hi Joanne
If you are familiar with Winamp and Winamp plugins you may want to try the
 Winamp TV tuner plugin.

The home page for this is:

 http://winamptv.zapto.org/

I am now using this with Jaws 8.
Although I found it a bit tricky to set up properly, I now have it working
 fine.

Hope someone can help. I had a TV card but it no longer works, so am
needing to start over. I would like to buy software that is accessible
 with
Jaws for watching my cable channels on the computer. If possible I'd
 like
to be able to just download this software from the Net and then back it
 up
myself. Does anyone have any good ideas for a TV tuner? Thanks.

You certainly will need a tv tuner card if you want to connect your
computer to cable.
