Hello, I'm trying to convert many files to a lower bitrate and sample rate
in Goldwave. However, in order to do that, I need to use the save as command
in Goldwave. Is it possible to convert multiple files at the same time to a
lower sample and bitrate? Thank you.

Goldwave will do it after you do a search for k-lite-codec and install that.
Then when you open the mp4 filein Goldwave, select all under file types and
that does it.

converting files with cdex

2005-02-28 Thread Joanne
Someone has told me I can convert files on my computer by using cdex. Is
this true? I thought cdex was used for taking tracks off c.d.'s but I
didn't think you could use it to go into, say, your music folder and convert
wma's or wavs to mp3's. If you can convert these files how do you do it?
I'm looking at the help but don't find anything related to converting
individual files already stored in your system. Thanks for any help.

 Hi,
Do you have CD Creator on your new computer?
I am assuming that CD Creator is the same as Easy CD Creator. Did you use
Direct CD to save these MP3 files to CD?
I could be wrong, but I believe, if you did, you will need direct CD on

That is the only reason I could think of why you could not access these

 Hope this helps,

 Subject: converting files

 Hi folks:

Some time ago, I put a number of songs on disk from my computer. They
were
mp 3 files. Unfortunately, the computer I now have will not play them.
Is
there any way I can convert the files so my new computer can play them. I
am using windows xp. I am sorry I can't be more explicit.

Hi,
Do you have CD Creator on your new computer?
I am assuming that CD Creator is the same as Easy CD Creator. Did you use
Direct CD to save these MP3 files to CD?
I could be wrong, but I believe, if you did, you will need direct CD on
your new computer in order to access these files.
That is the only reason I could think of why you could not access these
files.
Hope this helps,
Chris Chaffin
I am sorry that I can't quite explain what my problem is. Let me try
 again.

I have no difficulty playing MP3 files. I am using Windows media player
 10.

I copied these files to a computer from disk using MP3 format. Then I
created disks. I bought a new computer and cannot play the cads. I used
cod creator to copy the files to disk. The problem I am having is that I
can't play these disks on my new computer. I have considerable time in
these disks and would very much like to keep these files.

Sorry I rambled on for so long. However, I don't know how to explain my
problem so that it is understand

 Frankly.

 Hi.
If Windows XP doesn't play MP3 files, there must be something wrong
with the files themselves, and conversion will, most probably, not help
 you.
What happens when you try to play the files? Have you tried copying the
files to the hard drive and playing them from there? What program is
 being
 used to play the files?
 Aman

What direct cd does is to write protect them. to remove write protection go
to the property of the file and uncheck that box.

Frank. Are those disks CDRW? You may need a disk converter depending on
which program you used to make the original disks. I've never heard of Cod
Creator. Did you mean Easy CD Creator?
