Hi Matthew
I would also like the ddirections for inserting a sound or beep for editing
out content in a song. Thanks for any information you send in advance.
Have a great weekend.

Gold Wave has a plugin for this purpose, if you happen to have it as well.

Re: editing unacceptable content out of songs?

2007-07-25 Thread Matthew Bullis
Hello, there's a command called paste special in Sound Forge. An easier and
more exact way to bleep out content without possibly losing your place, is
to use the synthesis menu, simple tone, then five-second tone. Get a new
data window for that, select all, and then go back to the project you're
working on. Go to the first instance of bleeping, select the swearing
section with I and O, then go to edit, then to paste special, and then hit
overwrite. Never mind that the thing you've copied to the clipboard is a
five-second tone. It will only take as much of the tone as it needs to fill
your selection. I know it sounds detailed, but once you get that tone
copied, it goes by really fast, especially with keystrokes. Alt E, S, then
O. Go to the next section, select data with I and O, then repeat the
keystrokes. I hope this helps you with future projects.
Thanks a lot.
Matthew

2007-07-25 Thread Chris Skarstad
Hi Dan
Yep, it's possible to do that, but you might like to look around the
net for radio edits or clean versions of the songs you want to
play. They're perfectly acceptable to use.

Although it's not an option in the menus, you can put bleep sounds in with
Sound Forge. It's just a bit involved, but once you get the hang of it, it
takes a few seconds. Is this what you wanted, bleeps, or something else? If
you want the instructions, then let me know.
Thanks a lot.

editing unacceptable content out of songs?

2007-07-25 Thread Dan Eickmeier
Hi all, if you have uncensored versions of songs which have
questionable content in their vocal tracks, is there any way that I
could edit out that content with SoundForge or CakeWalk Sonar? As I
do have both?
