altering sample rate/bitrate on zoom H1

  Switch on the AGC [middle switch up position], then alter with back and 
forward skip buttons.

  Formatting SD card on Zoom H1
  To format SD card on the Zoom press and hold record while powering on, then 
press record to format.
  setting time on zoom H1
  To set time press and hold down file erase while powering on. The time set 
menu will be displayed.

Hi Julie, recording with line in is just the same, but careful of the level. If 
you plug some headphones in, take the recording level right down, connect your 
source, then bring the level up till it sounds ok. Do the same if you're using 
an external mic. It's always handy to have a pair of headphones handy.
