Well MP3 files should be smaller than wav files.  You can put ten times as
much on an MP3 file.  In other words, you can put up to ten hours of music
on an MP3 CD, whereas you can only put a little over one hour's worth of
music on a music CD, which is wav.  So that means with the same CD, an MP3
file is one-tenth the size of a regular Wav file music CD.

 If a .mp3 file is supposed to be a compressed file, why is it bigger

 a .wav file?
