Hi Les, I haven't had this desktop very long, so I'd guess that the problem is not necessarily the burner, particularly as I haven't, as far as I can remember, successfully burned playable CDs since I've had the computer Alexander Shannon Jonathan Mosen List Founder Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi abarney, If you are meaning looking at the files in the CD drive, I do have some residual vision and looking at the files shows that they are ready to be transferred to the CD, but the process does not take place as far as I can make out. Re: problems burning .wma files to CDR disks
Hi all, Sorry to reply to my own message, but I've even tried writing the .wma files to a CDR via the Send Too function in Windows XP and I'm still getting nowhere. When I try to write the files to CD I highlight each file in turn and then press shift F10 on it and select send to from the resulting list. From the list that then appears I select my CD drive, first making sure that the drive contains a CDR. Then Windows Media player opens and then nothing else takes place. So, please can someone tell me where I am going wrong, and send me either on or off list, some step by step instructions taking into account that I use Supernova rather than Jaws as my screen reader. Thank you in advance for any further help anyone can give. After another minute, Windows Media player unavailable. The files are not burned to the disc in audio format. Re: problems burning .wma files to CDR disks
Hi Alexander, in order to get music or any file to play on a standard CD player, you have to burn them to audio. To get MP3 files to play on a standard CD player, you have to get a CD player not older than a couple of years. - Original Message - From: "Alexander Shannon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Wednesday, November 05, 2008 10:54 AM Subject: problems burning .wma files to CDR disks Hi all, I've just joined this list in order to see if any members can assist me in solving the following problem.
