problems burning cds with nero, even at low speeds

2006-03-18 Thread Tyler Wood
Hello

I use a stario to listen to music, and I have a large music collection. So, of
course, I bought a pack of 100 cds thinking they'd work fine. This stario was
known to have some reading problems--but I could usually resolve them somehow.
I burned the first cd at 8x, like usual. What came out was horrible--and I even
tried playing it on another system. It didn't play it good iether. I hear small
crackles in latter tracks and at the end the disk won't play at all. 8x is the
lowest speed nero burning rom will burn at- but I don't think that's the
problem. I'm not sure what to do- any suggestions?

thanks,
Tyler

Sounds like you may have a problem with your CD rewriter. You could ensure
that jitter correction is checked when burning but that aside, looks like a
bad match between your CD rewriter and the CD's you've bought.

I don't see jitter correction? Where is it in nero 6- or what is it called
in nero?

Re: problems burning cds with nero, even at low speeds

2006-03-22 Thread Kevin Lloyd
Hi Tyler.

I don't burn a lot of CD's these days as I have all of my music on external
hard drives. Just looking at version 6.6 that I have here, it appears the
jitter correction option has gone. Looks like it's been replaced with the
cache files on hard drive before burning option in the CDDA tab of the burn
dialogue.

Regards.

No, a higher speed would worsen the results. Btw, I have a sony burner, can
I update the firmware somehow? The model number is SONY DVD RW DRU-800A.

Have you installed other cd burning software after Nero? If so, uninstall

Re: problems burning cds with nero, even at low speeds

2006-03-25 Thread aad leeflang

i burn my cd's with 16 k with nero without problems.
maybe you should not burn them on the fly.
or try not to multitask, thought that should not be a problem.

I've been lately having a problem with Nero burning audio disks. It has no
problem creating data disks just audio.

Same with me; although I've only created one data disk in the last few
weeks, it seems good. Even mp3 cds give me problems.
