recording problem with goldwave

2007-03-05 Thread Betsy Sawyers
Hello,

I recently installed GoldWave version 5.19 on a computer for the first time and
when I went to record, the only thing I got was what JFW was saying. I tried
changing input sources with no luck and am completely baffled! I am running XP
home with jfw 8 and wonder if the problem is with my SBLive. I never had this
problem with my other computer which is set up the same as far as I can tell.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Betsy

in your pc volume control choose recording and ensure that the input box is
not set for microphone, and is checked for the appropriate slider.

Hi Betsy, also, some sound cards have check boxes that allow you to mix
your inputs, just as you can in the playback properties. If this is the
case, you must check everything that you don't want recorded, such as the
wave out and the stereo mix, which some sound cards call what you hear!
