stario mix and microphone issue
Hi, I used to have windows xp media center on this laptop. I installed xp pro; ever since then, I can't find the mute check boxes for these devices. I used to be able to select my stario mix, mute my microphone, then select it and unmute it, enabling me to talk while I was using my stario mix. Now my mute button magically disapeared- and I can't talk while doing a music recording and such- which sucks for podcasting- I wanted to do a podcast on a mud. ] any suggestions? I go to control pannel, sounds and audio, audio tab, recording volume, enable the stario mix by going to properties>recording, selecting stario mix and mic. Now I go hit alt p, make sure advanced controlls are checked. I select stario mix- but then, under microphone, all I have are volume, and select. Now, I know I used to have mute. I have the drivers for this connecsant installed and functioning. They're the latest- I just don't see the mute check box. Any ideas or suggestions? thanks! Have a good day from Tyler C.
