Re: zen ston and nls player
when I first started playing mp3 files they played but every now and then the player would announce "cartridge error". It doesn't any more since I moved them all to the audio+podcasts folder. - Original Message - From: "DJ DOCTOR P" To: "PC Audio Discussion List" Sent: Monday, May 03, 2010 10:52 PM Subject: Re: zen ston and nls player Hello Robert, Just curious but why do your mp3 and other audio files have to be in a folder that's named audio+podcasts? I'm asking this question because on one cartridge, I have a folder that is entitled, music. I have subfolders with the different types of music such as jazz rock pop oldies and so on. On another cartridge, I have all of my NLS books in individual folders that bares their names. I don't have any problems playing my audio files and or my NLS books. I have a flash drive and I use a blank cartridge also. These both work quite well. I was just looking for other options. Only cartridges are officially supported though. You can purchase blank cartridges and load your MP3's and books from BARD onto them. Using thumb drives or any other USB attached drive with the USB port on the side of the player to play books or MP3's isn't officially supported. It does work though, although not with every flash drive or USB attachable drive. Where did you read that you could plug your Zen Stone into the NLS player? I'd suggest going to the BARD Talk web site to see which drives people have had success with. You can also find out where to buy blank cartridges. I don't have the URL with me on this system, but I've found it before quickly enough with Google. -- Christopher chalt...@gmail.com On 5/3/2010 3:58 PM, Isaac wrote: I read that my zen stone would work when plugged into my nls player. Well mine is 2 g with a built in speaker. Could this be the reason mine doesn't work? It will not play with a cartridge inserted, though. I read all mp3 and NLS downloaded books. In my opinion better than a flash drive. It can be removed and reinserted without losing your place in the book.
