Usenet is still alive, and the comp.unix.solaris group still exists. And there's the solarisx86 mailing list (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/solarisx86/).
Unfortunately there is not much traffic anymore in both of them, but some of the Sun engineers still hang out there.
