This will definitely stop pca-proxy.cgi from trying to update itself, no
connection to pca's home server should be attempted then.

Same applies for pca itself, when update=never is set. The
update=never on the pca-proxy will not override the setting in the pca
clients pca.conf - maybe that was the problem?

[pca] http://www.par.univie.ac.at/solaris/pca/ is down?

2013-06-24 Thread Jason Greathouse
Looks like http://www.par.univie.ac.at/solaris/pca/ and its sub
directories
are currently down. I've checked from a couple of different networks outside
of our corp network so I don't think its just us.
http://www.par.univie.ac.at/
is responding.

This is causing pca updates to fail even if we specify update=never in the
pca-proxy.conf file on our pca-proxy.cgi servers. Is there a way to stop pca-
proxy.cgi from trying to reach out to
http://www.par.univie.ac.at/solaris/pca/stable/ when the client requests a
copy or update of pca? I've tried to point the pcaurl option at its self and
local copies of pca, but that doesn't seem to work.

Of course our scripts that utilize pca try to do an update on pca before we
begin patching, so we're a bit stuck right now.

Thanks,
