[PD-dev] tracker spam

2011-08-05 Thread Hans-Christoph Steiner

How about turning off anonymous posting on the bug/patch/feature
trackers? The spam rate is increasing, and the anonymous bug reports
are either people who forgot to login, or otherwise quite low quality.

i don't see a point in doing so.
the spam rate is really low.
there are 8 spam issues in all 3 trackers, 4 of which have been posted
in 2011, and 4 have been posted in 2010.
i wouldn't call that excessive.

you have deleted for of them, i deleted the rest, so the main work was
on my side :-)

so please leave the bug tracker open.

If the spam was the only issue, then I would be fine with leaving it
anonymous. The other issues are perhaps more important, and the spam
just serves as a reminder.
