[PD] Debian: Pd-extended VS debian packages
It looks like many extended libraries are now packaged in debian. But what is the difference with the extended distribution? Also would it make sense to have something (TM) that would install packages to have an as-near-as-possible extended install? I *think* I downloaded all the possible pd-* puredata-* packages, but for example I'm missing the iem-gui libs and [init] which I use quite often. I guess some stuff is left out because of packaging standards requirements. Lorenzo. ___ Pd-list@iem.at mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management -> http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list
[PD] Gem build problem on Debian amd64 testing (wheezy)
I'm trying to compile Pd-extended 0.42.5 with the autobuild scripts but it fails with Gem with the error: In file included from pix_video.cpp:18:0: ../Pixes/videoV4L.h:43:29: fatal error: linux/videodev.h: No such file or directory Googling suggests that this is related to kernel update removing the linux/videodev.h file (which I imagine is also the reason for which Gem and pddp are not in testing). Currently I've installed (hopefully) the pd-related packages (0.43), but I do miss some of them. More in another email on the topic. [PD] u_loader and global preset manager in RJDJ lib
hello, i am trying out the rjdj lib and i am not sure to understand correctly how should the SSSAD abstraction u_loader be used. I used SSSAD before and built a global preset manager with a coll to get an index for each preset. Now when i open the u_loader help file i can see that the "SOMETAG" argument could represent the index that would permit me to retrieve each preset but, in this example, it is not designed in a way that you can dynamically change it. So each time you save a preset it will save the values with this prefix, and i don't understand how this way you can differentiate each preset then.. So my question is, do i have to design it myself or is there a ready made global preset manager technique that i missed in this help file? Thanks for you help, delphine ___ Pd-list@iem.at mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management -> http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list

By the way, my incoming number is an analog input from arduino board. anybody knows if there is and object to do that, or wich object i can use to build a patch to do it? thanks! ___ Pd-list@iem.at mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management -> http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list
