Re: [PD] Scatter objects using [repeat]

2013-11-25 Thread Cyrille Henry

hello,

look at the patch in gem help/02.advenced/20.double-gemhead_vs_repeat
the right patch of this patch is almost what you want.
you just have to insert 2 tabread instead of the select. the tabread should
point to 3 random table.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way to scatter objects across a screen in GEM using [repeat]
or a similar method that doesn't require creating several objects or using
particles. The objects should stay in position until I specify another random
position

I've followed the advice of reading the XYZ coordinates from a text file (as
seen here http://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2009-01/067439.html )
but this doesn't allow me to choose another XYZ coordinate unless I load
another text file.

Is there any other way to do this?

Re: [PD] Connect Bluetooth devices

2013-11-25 Thread Martin Peach
If you send a [devices( message to [comport] it will print a list of
available ports in the console. If your bluetooth device is in the list
you can open it using the name it has in the list.

this means that upstream already built a .pd_darwin for you.

this means, that it's author doesn't have time to answer questions. it
doesn't mean that the objects don't work.

the pd_darwin that comes with the download is apparently for the wrong
architecture (powerpc): you have to recompile.

$ make clean
$ make

(alternatively simply delete all .pd_darwin files (and probably .o
files) before running "make"):
