Re: [PD] A present

Nice Game :)

I noticed (and appreciated) that you ended up using the code i suggested, but
actually

Jack´s sugestion looks more efficient and elegant ( with [max] ).

One has to take every opportunity to learn ;)

Happy hollidays to you and all the list

Hey all you pd people

I've decided to sent out an open invitation to try a patch I've been working
on, a little game, in fact. Its a work in progress so I'd love some feedback,
but if you enjoy trying it out that'd be great.

Subject: [PD] Finding the highest number

Hey All

I'm looking for a way to find the highest figure in a stream of input. In this
case to find the top score in a little game I'm working on. I need a system
that will remain on the highest number inputted until it's increased or reset
to 0.

It should be simple but I'm struggling, any suggestions?

[PD] noteout issue

2009-12-02 Thread Silvio Almeida

Hi list,

Probably not a 'pure' puredata issue but:

[bang(
 | \
[36 100( [40 100(
| /
| / (both to inlet one)
[noteout 10]

triggers :
 - only one of the two notes (Linux Debian 5/Ubuntu 9.10)
 - two notes simultaneasly (Windows XP)

i suspect it is something on the midi settings of alsa or something.

thanks in advance.
Sílvio Almeida

inlet 1 expects control number but where is data expected?

I found these a while back and fixed some bugs in them (doing multiplications
where bit shifts would have sufficed, outletting values out of order).

I contacted the author about these fixes and he basically said they were an
abandoned project for him and I should announce these versions on this list,
which I just now finally got around to joining.

I have attached my fixed versions. They have no dependencies other than the
ctl_in and ctl_out of vanilla pd.

The nrpn_out object has two inlets, the first to send the data, and the
second to set the nrpn number, with creation arguments $1 setting nrpn number
and $2 setting channel. Probably for symmetry's sake there should be a third
inlet for setting the channel at runtime, it looks like an easy fix.
