These are objects for the multiple window Gem branch, which I had forgotten about. I don't know the status of it, but IIRC it requires at least some configure-options, maybe even a separate source tree. I don't know of any binaries for this version of Gem. You probably have all the gem objects as part of PD. try installing X11 from the mac OS disk.
