Hi Miller, thanks. I had to create the object "declare -stdpath /Applications/Pd-0.47-1-64bit.app/Contents/Resources/extra" in order to load them. It should be included in vanilla, in "Pd.app/Contenrs/Resources/extra". If I am not wrong they should come with vanillla however, pd says "couldn't create" for both of them. I am on a mac osx 10.11.5, using pd 64 bit version 0.47.1. Does anyone know where the sources of these can be found? This is what I sometimes do to auto-start Pd with GUI in it's own session: Run 'crontab -e' to edit current user's crontab file. Then add a line like: @reboot /usr/bin/vncserver :4 -name pure-data -geometry 1000x800 -dpi 80; sleep 5; DISPLAY=:4 /usr/bin/pd -open mypatch.pd save it and reboot. At next boot, this will launch a vncserver on DISPLAY :4 and then start Pd with its GUI in said vnc session. [PD] VST plugin host
Hello, I would like to use pd to host a VST instrument. Then I expect that the midi keyboard can trigger notes. After that I will also need to send DMX command for lights from the same midi notes. I hope that puredata is the correct tool. I found the thomas's vst~ description : http://puredata.info/Members/thomas/vst I try first to use the vst~ object from binary (windows) to avoid installing any SDK. To work around an error message concerning loading loadbang, I installed the vanilla 0.43 instead of the newest 0.47. (I believe I need to compile vst / flext / pd to use the latest). I would like to check the aim of the patch vst~-help.pd I can load my vst instrument with the patch, the display edit window checkbox shows the vst instrument GUI. My question concerns the noise~ in input, can I replace it by a midi notein object ? The element named "pd midi" in the patch seems to generate midi and not to receive, is that right ?
