Re: [PD] iOS: writesf~ problem

2018-07-14 Thread Dan Wilcox
Maybe string handling from Swift to libpd is messing up the path? I would
double check the path and that you are creating the file in a *writable*
location aka the app's Documents or temp folders.

Probably. We added some math to handle multi-monitor placement which may be
showing this problem.

Please open a bug report with the patch.

I just realized this is also another feature I had requested that must
really facilitate things. You had a video tutorial on how to generate
plugins before, I think this is also a nice feature to dedicate another
video showing how easier it is now ;)

thanks

Oh, and, by the way, I'm more than willing to support this project by
adding support to my externals - you wouldn't need to worry on maintaining
that.

But I needed to know what I had to do...

Re: [PD] library prefix prevents objects loading (rpi vanilla)

2018-07-14 Thread Alexandre Torres Porres
if you include the cyclone folder in "extra", for example, you don't need
to add it to the search path, as this is a "standard path".

In Pd 0.48-1, it should ask you to create a folder in your home/documents,
and if you say yes, you can include externals in that folder and it also
should work without adding them to the path.

If that is not working on Raspberry Pi, for some reason, you should report
a bug in https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data/issues

Oops, bad wording on my part. I should have said 'in the declare-path
branch' instead of 'now' as readers might think it was already changed
in Pd, which is _not_ the case. I'm talking about a feature branch that
  possibly/hopefully makes it into Pd.

Alright, that's absolutely correct. Old flags still work with old
layout, new flags work with new layout. So there is no problem with the
transition. Thanks for the clarification.

Re: [PD] library prefix prevents objects loading (rpi vanilla)

2018-07-14 Thread Lucas Cordiviola
You can try adding a path of your externals folder. You already have:

whatever/path/to/cyclone

add this path:

whatever/path/to/

This way namespaces will work: [cyclone/coll]

[PD] library prefix prevents objects loading (rpi vanilla)

2018-07-14 Thread Nick Burge via Pd-list
i’m having trouble getting objects to load in libraries that use a name prefix
as in [cyclone/cycle~]. The object will load perfectly if I remove the
“cyclone/“ prefix. So [cycle~] works which would indicate to me that the paths
are set correctly in preferences. The issue is not specific to cyclone library,
it occurs on any library that employs a prefix.
This is on Pd 0-48.1 vanilla compiled from Miller’s source code on my
RaspberryPi 3. (ARM v7)
Thanks.
