Good news, glad to hear that.

You might remember a month ago someone reported that it couldn't use a “Dante”
system on Pd.

You correctly spotted the need for a 64bit Pd.

Thank you for this work.

This was thanks to https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data/pull/275

We can’t access the last ASIO driver from the list.

I’ll try to be breif:

Tascam4x4 don’t specify anything when you install the drivers.

It has 2 drivers. Normal and Mixing.

On the tascam folder there are 2 folders for the Mixing driver. x86 and x64.

On the x64 folder there’s an installer.

I run it, now I have Mixing(64).

When I try to use it with ableton live (32bit) I get NO-SOUND

But when I try with Pd I get Sound on both Pds (32 and 64).

Here’s whats fooling me. When I select the last driver (which happens to
be the 64bit one) I get sound. So I close the audiosettings window. Now
when I reopen it it shows the “name” of the Normal (32bit) driver. So
this totally mess up the testing. :(

Can you check on your machine for similar behaviour ?

afaict this kind defeats the determinism promise.
i think the only way to do that (making 32bit binaries available within
a 64bit application) is by launching a separate (32bit) process and do
some inter-process-communication to get data to and fro - which is not
very fast.

Here’s an ALL 64-bit Pd-0.48-1.

It uses tcl/tk 8.6.8 64-bit.

It includes the latest Cyclone externals compiled for 64-bit.

http://lucarda.com.ar/x/Pd-0.48-1-all-w64.zip

You can start the app with “start-Pd-from-here.cmd”. You can edit it
with the notepad. It starts the app and load cyclone. Is just this:

%CD%\pd-0.48-1-w64-tcltk-w64\bin\pd -noprefs -path %CD% -path
%CD%\cyclone -lib %CD%\cyclone

Notes:
If you use ASIO is safe to start with this settings: delay 6ms, block
size  256.

Careful with [cyclone/anal] it uses 1GB of ram.

[cyclone/scope] is tricky, first run does not show anything, then
restarting or whatever makes it work.

Personal notes on compiling with Msys2 64bit shell:

**delete “-march=pentium4“ on line 578 on pdlibbuilder (cyclone)
*delete “Hilbert~.class.sources :=
cyclone_src/binaries/signal/Hilbert.c” line 136 on the Makefile (cyclone)

then:

make pdincludepath=G:/win10onexthd/pd-0.48.1-test64bit/src
pdbinpath=G:/win10onexthd/pd-0.48.1-test64bit/bin install

ATM i'm about to suggest to the pd-lib-builder devs to include the "-static"
flag on certain lines so as there's no need to ship pthread implementations.
One of those cases as you know is cyclone/coll.

I've tested it on w32 and is working fine. So for your cyclone there's no need
to include the 2 suporting pthread and libgccc DLLs.

I will suggest this to the pd-lib-builder DEVS as ALL w32 externals need to be
compiled for w64.

what would it take to build externals for windows 64 bits?

Also I have a working an sounding (also with ASIO) 64-bit Pd.

For those who want to test download from:

http://lucarda.com.ar/x/pd-0.48.1-test64bit.zip

We can't load any external as for windows they are all 32-bit.

one with the default Tk 8.5 and another with Tk 8.6.8. Can some Windows people
