I have a recent Gem version. With the same video loaded with 12
[pix_film], the CPU go from 1% to 5%.
First, it increase to 65% and goes down to 5%.

To test that, you can simply create 10-15 pix_film objects, and load the 
same video to every pix_film. If you just do that, you'll see the cpu 
usage going up.
