Hmmm. Good shot, but some tough choices here. If you had more of the guy on the left, I'd say crop less. But I'm guessing you don't, or you would have:-). As presented, he's not enough of a presence. Re: PESO - Bowlers
Oh! Cotty wrote: Yes but not sure for how long. It's a fabulous little (!) camera but I have two issues with it - the viewfinder and frame rate. It is painfully slow to me, although this really shouldn't matter as I wanted a camera that wasn't fast - eg I wanted to concentrate on the so-called decisive moment, rather than ratatatatatat my pics. I can do that at 8fps with my big Canon (as the bishop said to the actress). But the viewfinder is really not up to manual focussing. Yep, I think I can still picture a splash of horror on my face when I held 1DMk2 of Frantisek and took a picture of my brother. Instead of one I took how many - at least 5 in a machine gun manner. In fact, I think K10D with its 3 fps seems to be right on target for me - not too fast, not too slow. But I thought L1 was more like an AF Leica-like kinda beast. But Cotty, given the size of a sensor and DOF of 20 mm lens - perhaps you could zone focus manually - you know - preset it to certain distance given the aperture setting and just walk away happily snapping around... For what it is, it's a superb piece of kit and as it only cost me a couple of hundred quid at the end of the day, I'll probably hang onto it. The flash is a miracle of design, and ergonomically it's great to use. But I probably want it to be something else - something that it isn't. I suppose that the lens (SMC A 20/2.8) could be attached to your Canon, right? Meanwhile, I'm searching for my next acquisition ;-) Me too. I am trying to enable myself with A 50/1.2. Did you compose that through the viewfinder, or point your camera in their general direction so they wouldn't notice? Thanks! Composed through the viewfinder. It was one of those situations where I wished I had Live View on the K10D as it would have been easier to get the shot without nearly pulling a muscle in my back. ;-) As it was I couldn't quite get the camera and my head to fit where they needed to be, so I had to crop to level the frame about 15 degrees.
