Re: Breakfast
There's a company here in NZ called Kaitaia Fire who make a habanero & kiwifruit sauce. I don't think I've managed to try it yet. I quite like the habanero flavour but have gone off the hot stuff these days. I'm certainly not going near the Bhut Jolokia :) I actually grow jalapeño chillies, just a few plants in pots, and I throw the chillies (whole) into the freezer. I grow them myself because the supermarkets are useless. I've grown several varieties in the past but I just stick to the jalapeño now. Sadly the winters here are too cold so I have to start from seeds again each spring. A few years ago I made some jars of relish, based on an old tomato relish recipe but with home-grown chillies substituted for some of the tomatoes. The jalapeño version is my favourite but I also like the thai-super version (I have to be careful licking the spoon of that stuff). It's amazing with corned beef or on cheese & crackers. We used to have an Indian restaurant here which offered mild, medium, hot, Indian hot then English hot. Sadly they'd increase the heat by adding more of the whole spice mix. When I tried English hot I was fine with the heat but the sheer concentration of the spices wasn't agreeing with me. I almost finished it but it was a Friday lunch so I decided I'd best play it safe and not need to go home early :) Cheers, Dave > On Apr 9, 2016, at 4:30 AM, Bipin Gupta wrote: > > Oh Ho! David. Breakfast
Oh Ho! David. You missed to see the red hot chilly and the onion ring too near the kiwi fruit. I bet you will not try one of the hottest chilies in the world, the red Bhut Jolokia, grown in India. It is 400 times hotter than Tabasco. The red habanero of the US is famous too. I have a joke with the girls at US fast food joints. They ask me if I would like my order hot or mild. I say, please make it very very very hot, knowing their hottest is very very mild for the Indian palate. They always laugh at me. Regards. Re: Weird Photoshop error
I don't know if this is on Mac or Windows. I've seen more than on one occasion Photoshop (various versions) on Windows going nuts in different ways (sometimes refusing to start at all), due to its configuration file getting corrupted. Usually moving the configuration file to a different location (basically removing it) was allowing to have it starting normally. (Yes, some customization settings would be lost.) I don't remember: I may have experienced the same once on a Mac some 8-9 years ago. I am not sure if this would help for this bizarre problem. Which is odd because everything worked fine until about a week ago and I had made no changes to the graphics drivers, the O.S. or Photoshop. But I dutifully downloaded and installed the latest drivers for my nVidia 610 card. And it made no difference. After making still more unsuccessful attempts to get things working I broke down and bought a new graphics card. nVidia 720 series with 2 Gig of vRAM (and the latest drivers). And I still get the error. Re-install Photoshop. Same error. Adobe Illustrator runs fine and, more significantly, correctly recognizes my graphics card and the amount of vRAM. https://www.flickr.com/gp/mostlypentax/p6e660 this link connects to the album for whoever has it. If you have a problem let me know. I think most members are familiar with the lens. Not the best photos but I can summarize. Glass is perfect, hood, barrel and edges show scuffing, soft case is in great shape. Should have kept the lens in it. KEH says $468 w caps. I'll say $425 w caps, hood, soft case. If you buy it and find something non functional (you won't) I'll take it back. I'll consider an offer too. PESO: Wag More, Bark Less
Saw this bumper sticker on a car recently: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=18214978&size=lg K-5 IIs, DA 18-135 Comments are invited. The sticker caught my eye because of the clever sentiment and good advice, and because I just like strange signs. Also, it immediately reminded me of the play Hamilton, where at their first meeting, Burr gives this advice to Hamilton: "Talk Less, Smile More, Don’t let them know what you’re against or what you’re for. You wanna get ahead? Fools who run their mouths off wind up dead." BTW, if you have a chance to see Hamilton on Broadway, run, don'g walk. It is the greatest thing to hit the Great White Way in decades. Smart, entertaining, hip. and historically very accurate. It shows quite clearly and effectively that partisanship and gridlock have been part of the American system since the beginning.
