Noticed that submissions close on a 3 pm EST schedule... so I guess the
voting closes on a similar schedule.

Good news about this contest is that the popularity is only the first
tier - the final judgement is made by really judges... lots of prizes...
I would be

surprized if I won, but not awfully surprised if I made the top 25. I
searched for results but after I saw the judging schedule (after logging
in to the site) it won't be immediately available...

stay tuned for results and thanks for your votes anyway!

Doesn't quite do it for me. The wrinkles on the right side of the dress
spoil it.

If the zipper had been all the way down, I think you'd have had a smooth
curve from the shoulders on both sides of the dress. Anyway, I would
find a smooth curve on both sides more appealing.

The sweep from the left shoulder down to that loop in the zipper carries
my eye down to that bit of dark curtain intruding
along the right hand edge of the image.

It's like hitting an unexpected speed bump that jerks the steering wheel
out of your hand - only for the eye.

I understand that 2/3 of the students who take Latin

Damn! That's the problem of replying to email on my phone, I got
swypoed. That was supposed to be vulture capitalists.

In any case, I really wish people wouldn't post such nice photos with
the 150-450, since I simply can't afford one right now. I haven't
decided whether it would be worse if any of the lenses I really want had
been available for a great price on any sales last week.
