Stupid Flickr Question

2018-03-20 Thread John
Can I make my photostream private so no one can see it, but still have albums of
photos that I make "public"?

Flickr's help pages are kind of opaque & I haven't figured it out yet. The
problem with the photostream is it has only ONE way to sort photos, in the
date/time order you upload them.

I think the albums allow you to order the photos any way you want to.

Re: D-FA 50mm f/1.4 - Good News

2018-03-20 Thread P. J. Alling
Like every other new 50mm lens it will be super corrected. Compare the
size of a current Zeiss, Canon, Nikon, etc., 50mm f1.4 in size and
number of elements and groups and you'll find that they are all about
twice the size, the weight, and quadruple the cost, to eliminate all
optical defects possible in search of ultimate sharpness from wide open
to the smallest diffraction limited aperture.  I should write copy for
these people but I couldn't do it with a straight face.

Color works where it's an integral part of the image. How are you going to

PESO - Bluebells - state flowers

2018-03-20 Thread Igor PDML-StR

Both Saturday night and (especially) Sunday night, we had violent thunder
and lightning, with gusty winds and several (3-4) periods of hail in
our area. Nickel- and quarter-sized hail caused multi-thousand-dollar
damages.

(Actually, in some cases, the hail was up to a golf-ball in size.)

But on Saturday, many people rushed to take photos in the patches of
bluebells, - the state flower of Texas.

All comments are welcome:
http://42graphy.org/misc/Bluebells_IR45167.jpg

Also, one specific question: does this photo appear at the right
brightness on your screen?

Thanks,
