That's basically what I do, my pano rig is now optimised for use with
the HD35, I'm then not limited if the vista is relatively static. The
28-45 is too long for my pano rig, I don't have enough adjustment in
it to find the lenses nodal point.

Grandfather Mountain Nature Photography Weekend

2018-04-07 Thread John

Brain malfunction.

I had an early doctors appointment on Monday & scrambling around to get ready so
I'd get there on time, I completely forgot about Grandfather Mountain Nature
Photography Weekend's registration opening up on Monday 02 April.

Had an "Oh Shit!" moment just now when I finally remembered it.

Fortunately for me, it hadn't sold out yet, so I was still able to register.

Hope I'll see other PDMLers there.

The clip was quite funny showing the guy squeezing his belly in. I wear lycra
and I recognise that activity... There's no fool like an old fool, but one of
the joys of getting old is you stop giving a shit. A bunch of old guys having
some fun and keeping fit(-ish...). Nothing wrong with that.

The French have a verb 'boudiner' which I always think of when I'm climbing
into my lycra. It means to squeeze yourself into clothes that are too tight,
and comes from 'boudin', which is a type of sausage...

Is there a recommended camera repair service for the PDML?

My current, recently received, K3 replacement has a lazy, weak, erratic ("H")

Haven't decided, for certain, if I will submit it for repair, but it is being
considered. This is the second

replacement since my "trusty" old K3 completely died this spring.

Thanks!

Interesting statement; as I'm seeing several times in the interview
that owner feedback is very important to them. But I don't see
anywhere the statement you're talking about.

Interesting statement that owner feedback has little (at best) effect on new
model develpoment. That will hit some other forums right in the ego feels.

Wheras I still have the primes of 28, 35 and 50 from the fim era I very
much like to have a ff 20 mm prime at an affordable price.
There is such a great gap in ff wide angle range compared to what is
available for the APS-C DA lenses.

I love articles that start out with a great pun:

They want more lenses that match the higher resolution of the K-1, so that’s
one objective which we would like to implement.
