2018-08-01 Thread Bruce Nagel

I have for the most part been lurking, but I seem to either not be receiving
mail from the list or to have been unintentionally unsubscribed.

Could someone reply to me off-list and let me know if this is getting there?

Do I need to wave the sacrificial chicken again?

In other news recently purchased a new (to me) M42 55mm and 135mm and hope to
soon give them a real try out on the K1000.

(I also got an H2 body but it appears to have issues with its poor little
shutter :-( )

Thanks,
Bruce N.

Re: Irfanview replaces Adobe Camera Raw for PS CS2

2018-08-01 Thread Mark C
Interesting that IrfanView replaced ACR - maybe IrfanView has a plug in
mode designed to do that? I've been interested in experimenting with
some alternatives to ACR and it would be nice if other option could be
configured to be integrated in PS.

Then later, something interesting happened. While in PS, I opened a

Im lucky, it
is up to date with all models of pentax DSLRs and it should be able to

Anyone else using irfanview interface instead of ACR with PS?

It was quite a nice day's ride, and I always have a good time when I meet up

The *ist-D gave you a choice between PEF and TIFF for raw files.

I don't think the choice to shoot DNG raw files was introduced until the K10D.

Re: OT Peso/Geso

2018-08-01 Thread Daniel J. Matyola
I scrolled through all 92 images, and they are spectacular, especially the
ones of the birds in flight!

I also, of course, enjoyed the two images featuring the Swallowtail and the
Monarch on purple echinacea.

Thanks for sharing David. It certainly seems like a thrilling experience,
and well worth the rather modest fee. My wife and I went hawking in
Ireland, and it was a thrilling venture, although I was too busy handling
my bird to get any shots comparable to yours.
