For Sale Friday - Colorimeter

2020-11-13 Thread Paul Sorenson

Datacolor Spyder5 Pro colorimeter

Comes with the "+" software upgrade which includes:

 * *1-Click Calibration*: SpyderUtility menu commands provide a “quick”
launch directly to the “place sensor” calibration screen in the main
application. Once calibration is complete, the main application
quits automatically. A fast, easy way to recalibrate a screen with
minimal UI. (For a display to be enabled for One Click Calibration,
it must be previously calibrated by the main application, as One
Click Calibration picks up and uses the last calibration settings).
 * *Room Light Switching*: The main application creates a set of 3
profiles for low, medium, and high ambient room light. SpyderUtility
then switches between these automatically as ambient light
conditions in your room change. (You must keep the Spyder5 sensor
connected for profile switching to occur)
 * *Profile Management*: Advanced functionality in SpyderUtility lets
you identify and switch the display profile for your screen(s); as
well as rename, duplicate, delete, and show on disk.

50 USD + $10 shipping to US locations

Will negotiate international shipping

DISCLAIMER:  The May 2019 Windows 10 update (Windows 10, Build 1903) has
an issue creating and saving ICC profiles.  MicroSoft has issued a patch
addressing this.  In addition, Datacolor has provided a work around.
Since I'm a "belt and suspenders" person, I did the patch AND followed
the work around and had no problem creating and saving further profiles.

PESO 2020 - 252 - GDG

2020-11-13 Thread Godfrey DiGiorgi
Since I've never been willing to actually sell off my
FourThirds/Micro-FourThirds cameras, I should have kept both of the
Panasonic-Leica lenses I had for them. I went out and found a good used example
of the Summilux-DG 25mm f/1.4 ASPH ... A good, fast normal lens is ALWAYS my
most used lens on any camera.

Yes, walking around (or cycling) is currently very popular. Theaters,
bars, diners, musea are all closed. Shops are open. If you want a new
or used bicycle your timing isn't the best. In the weekends some parks
and forests are overcrowded if you don't know the good places.

650lumens is quite low. A 50W LED array produces 3000. That would be too
bright and too large. A 10W array is under an inch in diameter and runs off
2-6V. Add a four AA battery holder, some wire and a tube of epoxy adhesive and
Bob's a poverty-stricken Lancastrian. A bit more cost than a single bulb but
likely to be available for longer. Pity you're not closer.
