so, it looks like I may have been trying to do this with the wrong tools, saw a video on the removal tool which worked on my example photo. Rick, you got a nicely cleaned fisheye. I'm surprised that I would not have recognized some pics as taken with a fisheye, in particular of the playground and the fruit market. For me that is the way this lens should be used to not looking overdone.
